ChatGPT Plus invoice and receipt: find, download and expense it
The receipt has to come from the merchant that actually billed you. Use this guide to locate the right document, check its fields and fix the common gaps before you submit an expense claim.
Which receipt do you need?

The merchant descriptor on your statement is the quickest clue. If you paid inside an app, start with the app store rather than the ChatGPT billing page.
Six fields to check before filing it
Merchant and descriptor
The receipt should show who charged you. OpenAI, Apple, Google and GPT Go use different descriptors, so this is the first field to match against your statement.
Date and amount
Use the posted date where possible. A pending card authorization can have a different date from the final settled charge.
Plan or product name
Confirm whether the receipt is for Plus, Pro, Go, a business seat or a one-time top-up. A top-up is not an auto-renewing official subscription.
Billing name and address
Finance teams usually need the name and address used for the purchase. Check them before the receipt is filed, especially if the card belongs to a company.
Tax or VAT details
Availability depends on the seller, country and account. Do not assume a standard consumer receipt contains every tax field your finance team asks for.
Order or invoice number
Save the unique reference with the receipt. It is the fastest way to trace a duplicate, missing delivery or refund request.

Identify where the plan was bought
Check the statement and the original confirmation email. A purchase made inside the ChatGPT app belongs to Apple or Google, even if the product is branded ChatGPT.

Open the matching billing history
For web billing, use the account billing area. For Apple, use purchase history. For Google, use Play purchase history. For GPT Go, use the order confirmation or order lookup.

Download the receipt as a PDF or email copy
Keep the original file rather than only a screenshot. If the page offers a print view, save it as a PDF with the browser's print-to-PDF option.

Rename the file before filing it
A useful format is YYYY-MM_DD_merchant_amount_reference.pdf. That makes later reconciliation and duplicate checks much easier.

Check the details against the bank line
Match the merchant, amount, currency and date. If one field is wrong, fix the record before submitting it for reimbursement.

Ask the seller for missing fields
Use the seller that issued the receipt. Apple and Google control their receipts, while OpenAI controls web billing and GPT Go controls its one-time orders.

A clean expense record in four steps
- Save the receipt and the bank notification together.
- Match the merchant name, date, amount and currency.
- Write one line explaining the business use of the plan.
- Store the order or invoice reference in the file name and expense note.
For a subscription, attach the receipt for the billing period you are claiming, not a screenshot of the current plan page. Plan pages change; a receipt records the actual charge.

A GPT Go order is a one-time top-up, not an auto-renewing subscription. The checkout email receives the order confirmation, and the order number is the reference to keep. For a missing or incorrect receipt, email support@gptgo.lol with the order number, product, amount and purchase time.

Where can I download a ChatGPT Plus invoice or receipt?
Start with the account and email used for the purchase. Web purchases are documented in ChatGPT billing or payment history when available. Apple and Google purchases must be downloaded from the store that billed you. GPT Go sends a one-time order confirmation to the checkout email.
Can OpenAI issue a receipt for an App Store purchase?
No. If Apple billed the subscription, Apple is the merchant and controls the receipt and refund process. The same rule applies to Google Play. Sending an Apple receipt to OpenAI will not turn it into an OpenAI invoice.
Does a ChatGPT Plus receipt work for company reimbursement?
It often provides the date, amount, merchant and plan needed for an expense claim, but every finance team has different requirements. Check whether your team needs a tax invoice, a specific billing name or a business tax number before you rely on a consumer receipt.
Why is the name on my receipt different from my ChatGPT profile?
The receipt usually follows the billing details attached to the payment method or store account at the time of purchase. Update the billing profile before the next renewal if the details need to change.
What should I send for a GPT Go order receipt?
Send the order number, checkout email, product name, amount and purchase time. Do not send your full card number or ChatGPT password. If the original confirmation is missing, support can use those details to trace the order.
Can I get an invoice before buying a team plan?
Ask before the purchase. For a team or bulk order, contact support@gptgo.lol so the delivery route and available documentation can be confirmed first. Availability can differ from a standard one-time top-up.
