Yes, an eligible ChatGPT Go user can upgrade to Plus through the account’s Upgrade Plan or plan controls when Plus is offered there. Upgrade through the platform that owns the current subscription. Yes, when Plus is available for your account, country and payment route. The upgrade changes the ChatGPT plan under the platform that manages the current subscription.

How do you upgrade Go to Plus on the web?
Sign into the account that currently holds Go, open the profile menu and select Upgrade Plan. If billing controls are missing, reopen the same account in another browser before trying again.

What happens to your Go billing when you upgrade?
The account’s change summary controls the timing. Do not assume an immediate prorated refund, a same-day charge or a fixed start date that is not shown during checkout.

The plan may change immediately or at a later billing boundary. Use the date shown before confirming.
Check the next charge
Confirm the Plus price, currency, tax and renewal date rather than relying on the public list price alone.
Check the store owner
Apple or Google Play remains responsible for billing and refunds when the original subscription came from that store.
If the account displays an unexpected second subscription, stop before paying again. A purchase associated with another OpenAI or store account does not automatically transfer to the account currently open.
How do you upgrade Go to Plus on Apple or Google Play?
Use the original store account and the ChatGPT account linked to that purchase. Changing the ChatGPT login does not transfer a mobile subscription.

Restore Purchases resyncs an existing store purchase; it does not move the subscription to another ChatGPT account. If Plus appears in ChatGPT but Go remains active in the store, do not assume the change also cancelled the store renewal.
Is a GPT Go Plus top-up the same as upgrading?
No. A GPT Go Plus top-up is a one-month direct top-up for your own account. It is not a change to an OpenAI auto-renewing subscription and should not be treated as a replacement for Apple or Google Play billing.
